WELCOME TO WINE COUNTRY SAFARI
Hello, Bruce here from Wine Country Safari.
Nearly all guests on tour with me in the Napa and Sonoma Wine Country have been on tour with me previously or have been referred by prior guests; so instead of a website with multiple pages extolling how wonderful my wine tours are, I have opted for this one-page summary which will hopefully answer any questions - if not, please feel free to reach me at 707-812-2541 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please check out prior guest reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp.
If you have been on tour with me before, thank you. I am spending time this winter following up on recommendations of new winemakers and wineries from my local wine-knowledgeable friends. You will be amazed at the quality of the 2013's and 2014's which will be released in the coming year ... be sure to budget for buying lots of the big 2014 reds which will be released in 2017.
My regular tour price is $150 per person + 7.5% tax. In addition, I offer sizable discounts for groups of 5 to 6. I do not require deposits or credit information to reserve a tour and since the tasting room at the very small wineries is often a plank across a barrel, the maximum number of guests on tour is 6. I pick you up at your wine country lodging or meeting place at 10 AM and have you back around 5-6 PM. We stop at a country market and everyone gets what they want and we picnic at a winery midday. Guests typicall spend an additional $40-50 on picnic food and gratuity.
If you are new to my wine tours, I take my guests to private wineries in Napa and Sonoma. What sets these wineries apart from the huge, mass-production and distribution wineries is that they produce very small amounts of wine with a sense of place, often down to the single vineyard producing the fruit. The winemakers adjust which oak barrels to use with each varietal and vintage the way a chef adjusts spices in a recipe. Usually it is the owner or winemaker pouring the wine, the wines are exceptional and are priced at approximately half of any comparable wines from the commercial wineries.
I customize your wine tasting tour to your varietal preferences. To get the most benefit from my tour, I recommend that you budget to purchase some wine at each winery ... some time in the future you will open one of the wines and the beautiful aroma will trigger your memory of sitting in the barrel-room of a charming winery here in the Napa and Sonoma Wine Country.
You can read reviews of my tours on Tripadvisor and Yelp - I get rave reviews. Please feel free to calI me at 707-812-2541 or email email@example.com for further information and to answer any questions.
Thank you and I hope to see you on tour with me,
Wine Country Safari
